There is a playground where all children can play - we've heard of it, we've seen photos of it, we've attended fund raisers for it, and participated in events for it - we watched the funding for it grow and sit at a stand still, stayed up to date on the news surrounding its status, and then we were able to keep our eyes on the construction of it. It opened today - and what a playground it is!
It's features include rubberized surfaces for wheel chairs/walkers, bright colors to help children with vision impairments, variety of textures to stimulate sensory development, quiet nooks and crannies to allow children to escape sensory overload, swings and spring toys with hand holds and back supports, and extra railings and hand holds - of course this is not all of its features - they are endless - with the end result being a playground for every one.
I never travel without my camera and today was no exception - its lens just never opened. Far too much going on to break it out! Brinn even got to meet Bonnie Zacherle. Oh, you don't know who Bonnie is? She's only the creator of what Brinn likes to call "ooni-corn" or better known as My Little Pony - with wings. I see a collector on my hands.

We spent a good two hours at the park today - we're likely to be back - you won't see any new conrete tatoos on my kiddos any time soon ;)
