Vocabulary

Getting Owen to eat anything other than a carb is a task. Uncle Noel is the only one who seems to have success at getting him to eat burgers or hot dogs. He's a vegan boy any other day (excluding dairy, of course). I don't mind that - deep down inside "meat" pretty much groses me out, and when I don't think about where it comes from, it tastes pretty good.

We continue to offer what we are eating at dinner to him - it is offered. It sits. True to his carb eating ways - he's just fine with rice for dinner . . . or noodles . . . or bread . . .

The veggies go on the plate either way . . . they sit. I convince him to eat just one. He tells me he "doesn't respect carrots." "Owen, do you know what respect means?" His response, "no, but I don't respect them any way."

I have a list of veggies I don't respect. Probably a longer list than people.
