A Visit to the Library

We visited the library today! When I was on maternity leave, Owen, Brinn, and I visited our local library to sign up for a library card. Sadly, we haven't been back since - until today. Our first trip was short lived - I felt like a complete newbie with Baby Brinn and we stayed long enough to read "Pigeion Finds a Hotdog" and get his card. I remember how thrilled he was to sign his card with a red pen. We packed up today with all of our bag of tricks to keep Brinn occupied. We read a ton of "Owen hand-picked books," visited the garden for some pictures, and signed out our very first book. It's a cute read-aloud with repeated text so Owen can read along. I wish all of you could have seen him getting his library card out of his pocket and handing it over to the librarian - too darn cute!

Cookies! Cookies! Cookies! Yes - we visited the local bakery after the library - too cute cookies, not so much on taste!

I love the library. Yours looks much more kid friendly than the one closest to us though.
